Kazakhstan to Export Wheat to Afghanistan and Pakistan Via Turkmenistan
Kazakhstan plans to export wheat to Afghanistan and Pakistan through the Beineu grain terminal. Delegations from Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan visited the terminal last week together with Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin.
The plans require the construction of additional storage facilities in the border areas and the establishment of logistics through Turkmenistan. The government noted that the interested parties intend to work out the details of creating a new export route for Kazakh grain supplies.
Beineu terminal with an area of 26 hectares, located on the territory of Mangistau region, has direct access to the Kazakh-Turkmen border.
