Kazakhstan started exporting wheat to Tunisia
The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov and the Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries of the Republic of Tunisia Abdelmonem Belati discussed opportunities for cooperation in the agricultural sector.
This year began exporting Kazakh wheat to Tunisia, the country’s market supplied 72.7 thousand tons.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture proposed to continue this trend and in addition to grains to consider the possibility of buying flour and flour products, pasta and confectionery, vegetable oils and honey.
The Minister also emphasized the need to work out the issues of building new logistics routes together with Tunisia.
The Tunisian side, in turn, also offered to increase cooperation in the field of policy to ensure national food security, including in the fight against drought. The country is ready to share knowledge about modern agricultural technologies and innovations that can be applied in both countries.
