Kazakhstan exported a record volume of barley
Kazakhstan exported 1.7 MMT of barley in MY 2018/19 that is up 27% from MY 2017/18 and the highest volume since MY 1992/93, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Following a four-year break, Azerbaijan, Israel and the UAE resumed imports. China resumed imports after a six-year break. The commodity was for the first time exported to Iraq.
Record high supplies were registered to Iran and Uzbekistan.
A drop in exports was observed to EU (-74%, the fourth biggest importer last season) and Afghanistan (-45%, the third biggest importer last season).
