Israel and Turkey stepped up corn purchases from Ukraine
December exports totaled 3.8 MMT (+23% from November and -10% from December 2019/20). 8.8 MMT has been exported since the season’s beginning (-12% y-o-y), UkrAgroConsult reports.
The top 3 list of importers has not changed over the past two months – China, the EU, Egypt.
In December, Israel and Turkey purchased more than 200 KMT each, and thereby made the top 5 of importers of Ukrainian corn.
Most buyers cut imports from the same period last year: the EU (-38%), Egypt (-22%), Israel (-7%), Turkey (-57%), Libya (-25%).
The exceptions are as follows: China (almost tripled), Lebanon (doubled), Tunisia (+1%).
