Iran signed a wheat import memorandum with Russia and Kyrgyzstan
Iran has signed a short-term memorandum of understanding with Russia and Kyrgyzstan about wheat imports, Iran’s Ag Ministry reports. The memorandum of understanding was signed for temporary import, transit and exchange of wheat.
Wheat purchases by the government from local farmers have decreased by 3 MMT this year, and imports are intended to replenish strategic stocks in Iran, reports UkrAgroConsult.
