Iran absorbed 40% of Russian corn exports in July

150 KMT of corn was exported in July, or 25% more than in June and 29% less than in July 2018/19. This season’s exports had reached 4 MMT (+54% on the year), UkrAgroConsult reports.

In July, the largest volume was shipped to Iran, which absorbs 40% of Russian corn exports.

At the same time, Iran reduced purchases by 3% from MY 2018/19.

Growth in exports to almost all other destinations, especially to the following countries: South Korea: up eight times, Turkey: up three times, China: doubled, Georgia: doubled.

Demand from Japan fell by 21% against the same time last year.
