Hungarian Agriculture Minister István Nagy has left for Turkey to negotiate the extension of the agreement that allows Ukraine to export grain from Black Sea ports. About this the Minister reported in Facebook.

“Turkey is a key player in the long-term overcoming of market difficulties caused by imports of Ukrainian grain (in Central Europe),” he wrote. Nagy indicated that he was negotiating on behalf of Central and Eastern European countries affected by increased flows of Ukrainian grain.

The grain deal expires next week. Russia has said it sees no reason to extend it beyond July 17.
