UkrAgroConsult
According to a new report by the International Grains Council (IGC), global lentil production will recover in 2024/25 MY to 7.5 million tons, up from 6.9 million tons this season, driven by a larger harvest in Canada, as well as increased consumption and stocks.
After falling in 2024, global import demand is projected to rise next year due to increased supplies to the Middle East.
According to the Council’s updated forecast, trade in all pulses is projected at 21.2 million tons in 2024, down 5% from the previous year due to lower demand for lentils and beans.
