Glencore Agriculture is pleased to announce it has officially rebranded to Viterra.
Effective today, the company will begin implementing the Viterra brand in the countries in which it operates.
“Today is a historic day for our business, as we adopt the Viterra name and brand globally,” said David Mattiske, CEO of Viterra. “Over the last four decades, we have steadily grown to become one of the world’s leading agricultural businesses. The name Viterra, which means vitality from the earth, unites our business under one brand with a shared purpose, further strengthens our identity and strongly positions us for future growth.”
Viterra operates in 37 countries, with a fully integrated agriculture network connecting producers and consumers to supply sustainable, traceable and quality-controlled agricultural products.
“Our talented people along with our asset network allows us to offer a wide range of services and products, enabling us to create successful, long-lasting relationships with our origination and end use customers,” added Mattiske. “Together, we look forward to further growth and investment in our network and continuing to connect the agriculture industry.”
Mattiske also acknowledged Viterra’s shareholders, who recognise the critical importance of the agriculture industry, and support the company’s long-term strategy.
“With the investment by CPP Investments and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation in 2016, together with Glencore, we now have three strong shareholders who share our vision for future growth and success. We look forward to working with them to realise our full potential as an industry leader.”
Due to timing issues and business activities, Australia, Brazil, Egypt, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Romania, Russia and Ukraine are scheduled to rebrand in May 2021. Aside from the name change and refreshed brand, it is business as usual across the company.
