For the second day, Ukraine and Poland are looking for ways to solve the problem of agricultural exports

Negotiations between Ukraine and Poland on agricultural exports continue for the second day in Warsaw. This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Thus, yesterday, March 27, an interministerial meeting was held with representatives of specialized agricultural associations of the two countries.

During the meeting, Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Mykola Solsky emphasized the importance of holding negotiations in a broad format with the involvement of specialized associations, as well as finding solutions to resolve the situation with the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.

“It is important that we started communicating in this format. We can listen and hear each other, the Ukrainian and Polish sides, and find common ground. No one knows the situation better than we do,” he said.

The Ukrainian side presented its Polish colleagues with an analysis of its exports to Poland and other EU countries. It also presented changes in agricultural exports since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, in particular due to the work of the sea corridor. These figures refute the negative information surrounding Ukrainian agricultural exports.

According to the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure, the negotiations lasted 6 hours yesterday.

“It was a difficult but frank conversation between ministries and associations. It is important that they have already discussed the solution options that will be announced soon. At the same time, the issue is complex for all parties and requires additional time. I thank each of the partners for their personal involvement in the process of finding solutions,” commented Mykola Solsky.

Negotiations between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland are ongoing. A joint meeting of the two governments is also scheduled for today.
