For the first time since the closure of the grain corridor, vessels left Pivdennyi port

The bulk carriers ANNA-THERESA (Liberia) and OCEAN COURTESY (Marshall Islands) have left Pivdennyi port and are moving along the established corridor towards the Bosphorus.

The vessels are carrying 56 thousand tons of pig iron and 172 thousand tons of iron ore concentrate, the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure said in a statement.

“Both bulk carriers are operated by a Singaporean shipping company and were in Pivdennyi port before the full-scale invasion. The ANNA-THERESA bulk carrier has been in the port since February 22, 2022, and the OCEAN COURTESY since February 16, 2022,” the ministry said.

The corridor established by the navigational order of the Ukrainian Navy is primarily used to evacuate vessels that were in the Ukrainian ports of Chornomorsk, Odesa and Pivdennyi at the time of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
