Flour exports from Kazakhstan keep falling

86 KMT of Kazakh flour was exported in July (-4% from June and -33% from July 2019/20). This brought the season’s total export volume to 1.47 MMT (+7% y-o-y, -20% from the five-year average), UkrAgroConsult reports.

China has made no purchases since April, therefore its total share in Kazakh flour exports in MY 2020/21 is already 18% smaller than at the same time last year.

In addition, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan slashed flour imports from Kazakhstan by 42% and 35% y-o-y, respectively.

The following countries increased their demand: Afghanistan (+17% y-o-y) and Uzbekistan (+3%).
