First million tons of sunflower seeds harvested in Ukraine

35.2 million tons of new crops were harvested by farmers in all regions of Ukraine: 29.5 million tons of grains and 5.7 million tons of oilseeds.

Grain and pulses were harvested on an area of 6,763 thou hectares with a yield of 43.6 c/ha, including

• 4,690 thou hectares of wheat were threshed (yield 47.2 c/ha), with a harvest of 22,151 tons
• barley was harvested on 1 504 thousand hectares (yield – 38.7 c/ha), with a harvest of 5 823 thousand tons;
• peas were harvested on 154 thousand hectares (yield – 25.0 c/ha), harvested 386.6 thousand tons;
• corn was harvested on 11.9 thousand hectares (yield – 47.0 c/ha), 55.8 thousand tons were harvested;
• buckwheat was harvested on 70 thousand hectares (yield – 14.4 c/ha), with a harvest of 100.2 thousand tons;
• millet was harvested on 47.4 thou hectares (yield – 23.1 c/ha), with a harvest of 109.4 thou tons;
• other grains and pulses were harvested on 286 thou hectares, with a harvest of 831 thou tons.

Harvesting of oilseeds:

• rapeseed was harvested on an area of 1,395 thou hectares (yield – 28.7 c/ha), 3,999.7 thou tons of seeds were harvested;
• sunseed was harvested on the area of 498.6 thousand hectares (yield – 20.8 c/ha), 1 035 thousand tons of seeds were harvested;
• soybeans were harvested on an area of 257 thou hectares (yield – 24.3 c/ha), harvested 624.8 thou tons.

Sugar beets were dug on an area of 14.1 thousand hectares, 617.1 thousand tons of sweet roots were dug with a yield of 436.8 c/ha.

Agricultural producers in all regions are finishing the rapeseed harvest.
