Fifth vessel sails from Odesa port via temporary corridor

On the morning of September 15, the Puma bulk carrier flying the flag of the Cayman Islands left the Odesa seaport. The departure of the vessel was reported on Telegram by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko. The bulk carrier has not yet indicated its destination, according to MarineTraffic.

This is the fifth vessel to leave the Ukrainian seaport via the new temporary corridor.

For reference. Puma is a Cayman Islands-flagged bulk carrier built in 2017. Its home port is George Town. Deadweight is 34979 tons.

Earlier, USM reported that two bulk carriers that left Pivdennyi port in early September successfully passed the temporary corridor in the Black Sea and reached their destinations.

Both vessels have been blocked in the Ukrainian port since the beginning of the full-scale war.

The corridor, established by a navigational order of the Ukrainian Navy, is primarily used to evacuate vessels that were in the Ukrainian ports of Chornomorsk, Odesa and Pivdenne at the time of the full-scale Russian invasion. Since August 15, 5 vessels have already used the temporary corridor.

The container ship Joseph Schulte (August 16) and the bulk carrier Primus (August 27) were the first to use this route.
