Extension of the “grain deal” for only 60 days contradicts the agreements – Kubrakov
Ukraine does not agree with Russia’s initiative to extend the grain deal for only 60 days. This position of the Russian Federation contradicts the document signed by Turkey and the UN.
This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.
Kubrakov emphasized that the minimum period for extending the grain deal is 120 days. This is stipulated in the initial agreements approved by the mediators.
“We are waiting for the official position of the UN and Turkey as guarantors of the initiative,” Kubrakov summarized.
As a reminder, following the talks with the UN in Geneva, the Russian side said it was ready to extend the grain deal beyond March 18. However, “only for 60 days”.
