Exports of Ukrainian flour lag behind last year’s figures by 10 thousand tons
The volume of exports of grains and pulses from Ukraine in 2023/24 MY as of December 14 amounted to 14.7 mln tonnes, down 5.3 mln tonnes or 26% compared to the same period last season. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, since the beginning of the season, 6.3 mln tons of wheat have been shipped, which is 15% less than last year.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 914 thsd tonnes, down 41% year-on-year.
Rye was shipped in 0.9 thsd tonnes (-93%).
Ukraine exported 7.4 mln tons of corn, which is 3.6 mln tons or 33% less than the same date last season.
Ukraine exported 53.3 thsd tonnes of flour, down 10.2 thsd tonnes or 16% compared to the previous year.
For reference: in 2022/23 MY, Ukraine exported 49 mln tonnes of grains and pulses: wheat – 16.8 mln tonnes, barley – 2.7 mln tonnes, rye – 18 thsd tonnes, corn – 29.1 mln tonnes, flour – 153.6 thsd tonnes.
