European agricultural restrictions: Ukraine will demand compensation for losses
The consequences of restrictions on Ukrainian agricultural products imposed by the European Union will be felt not only in Ukraine, but also in the EU and globally. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna on Facebook.
“The Ukrainian side has taken into account the decision of the European Commission. We will monitor its implementation, first of all, ensuring barrier-free transit of Ukrainian products. The borders should be unblocked and individual measures imposed by individual member states should be canceled. We also insist on compensation for the losses caused to Ukraine by restrictive measures. In the context of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, when the border with the EU is actually the only reliable way for Ukrainian exports, restrictions are like cutting off oxygen, the consequences will be felt not only in Ukraine, but also in the EU and globally,” she wrote.
Olga Stefanishyna emphasized that Ukraine called on its partners to work together to resolve the situation to the fullest and prevent this from happening in the future.
