EU finally approves “trade visa-free regime” for Ukraine
The European Union has extended the “trade visa-free regime” for Ukraine for another year. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
“This is an important support for our producers, exports and economy. We continue to integrate into the EU at an accelerated pace.”
Thus, the bloc extended the temporary suspension of import duties and export quotas on Ukrainian agricultural products until June 5, 2025. Trade liberalization also applies to Moldova.
At the same time, the European Commission is authorized to take quick action and introduce any necessary measures in case of significant disruptions in the EU market or in the markets of one or more EU countries due to Ukrainian imports.
