The European Union has preliminarily supported the extension of trade liberalization with Ukraine for another year. Bloomberg reports this with reference to sources in the know.

Last year, in June, the European Union abolished all existing tariffs and quota requirements for Ukrainian exports. This affected even steel, industrial goods, and agricultural products, which are not covered by existing agreements between the bloc and Ukraine. The current agreement expires in June.

The agreement requires Ukraine to comply with European rules of origin.
