The Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic has stated that it does not plan to impose a ban on imports of Ukrainian grain and called for this issue to be resolved at the EU level. It is reported by The Guardian.

The statement noted that the impact of Ukrainian grain imports requires a decision at the level of the entire European Union, rather than individual bans from individual countries.

“The Czech Republic has no plans to ban imports of Ukrainian grain and other agricultural products from Ukraine,” the ministry added.

Earlier, the leader of the Law and Justice party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said that the Polish government had decided to temporarily ban the import of grain and dozens of other food products from Ukraine.

Later, the Hungarian government also decided to support Poland’s decision, also banning the import of grain and some other agricultural products into its country from the territory of Ukraine or of Ukrainian origin.
