Cory Bratland with Kluis Commodity Advisors notes the severe cold in the Plains states is going to put more stress on an already pressured wheat crop. He says wheat prices being up today is also supporting corn.
Live cattle are up $2.15. Lean hogs are up $3.30. Feeder cattle are up 73¢.
Crude oil is currently up over $2 and has cracked $78 a barrel.
The S&P 500 is up 61 points. The Dow is up 525 points.

Live cattle are up 68¢. Lean hogs are up $1.08. Feeder cattle are down 20¢.
Crude oil is up $1.55 this morning to $77.78 a barrel. Al Kluis with Kluis Commodity Advisors says if crude oil breaks above $78 to expect increased buying.
The U.S. Dollar Index is sitting at 103.9. Kluis says traders are watching the dollar now that it is below 104. He says if it falls below 103 there could be a push toward 100. He says the decline in the dollar can be attributed to strength in other currencies as other countries raise interest rates more than weakness in the dollar.
The S&P 500 is up 32 points. The Dow is up 328 points.
