Corn ends day up 9¢. November 15, 2022
Corn futures closed up 9¢. Soybeans closed up 16¢.
CBOT wheat ended the day up 9¢. KC wheat is up 8¢. Minneapolis wheat is up 11¢.
Grains surged late in the day following news that a Russian missile strike crossed the Ukraine-Poland border and killed two Poles, says Naomi Blohm with Total Farm Marketing.
She says earlier in the day the market was “testing very important technical support levels on charts” and now it looks like support will hold or prices will move higher.
Live cattle are up 43¢. Lean hogs are are up $1.05. Feeder cattle are down $2.53.
The S&P 500 is up 24 points. The Dow is down 35 points.
Corn is up less than a penny while soybeans are up 4¢.

Crud oil is up to $86.1 a barrel.
The S&P 500 is up 58 points. The Dow is up 229 points.

The Black Sea grain trade agreement expires this Saturday but reports provide hope it will be renewed. AP writes the Kremlin characterized last week’s United Nations negotiations as “fairly constructive.”
Yesterday President Joe Biden met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Al Kluis with Kluis Commodity Advisors says because the meeting went better than expected, he expects China will buy U.S. soybeans this week.
Livestock prices are mixed this morning. Live cattle are down 5¢. Lean hogs are up 73¢. Feeder cattle are down 3¢.
Crude oil is down to $84.8 a barrel.
The U.S. Dollar Index is at 106.1, the lowest it has been since mid-August.
The S&P 500 is up 52 points. The Dow is up 280 points.
