China is still the biggest importer of Ukrainian rape oil
The first five months of MY 2019/20 witnessed record rape oil exports at roughly 147.4 KMT (+3.9% from MY 2018/19), reports UkrAgroConsult.
China and the EU share the Ukrainian rape oil market at a ratio of 64:36. This season, China boosted purchases by 42%, while the EU slashed them by 29%. The Netherlands, a major European importer, resumed purchases in November 2019/20.
Growth in exports was registered to Germany (manifold) and Czech Republic (manifold).
A decline in exports was observed to Bulgaria (-94.7%), The Netherlands (-82.8%) and France (-70%).
