China is interested in importing Ukrainian agricultural products
On December 21, the leadership of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine held a working meeting with Fan Xianzhong, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine. The parties discussed the deepening of trade and economic relations in the agricultural sector and the possibility of expanding the range of Ukrainian exports.
During the meeting, Minister Mykola Solskyi emphasized the productivity of the long-term cooperation between the countries and expressed concern about the delays in issuing permits for the export of corn and soybeans to China for next year. Currently, it is important to complete the procedure and approve the list of exporters for their further work.
Mykola Solsky assured that Ukraine fully ensures internal food security in war conditions and has the potential to increase exports, including to China.
Fan Xianzhong confirmed China’s interest in cooperation with Ukraine. In particular, in the import of Ukrainian agricultural products: oil, soybeans, peas, poultry meat, animal feed, etc.
The parties agreed to look for new opportunities for expanding trade between the countries, deepening ties between entrepreneurs, opening new export items.
