China increases soybean imports
Chinese authorities will hold an imported soybean auction on Thursday May 16, with around 515,000 tonnes of soybeans being offered, according to a notice issued by the country’s National Grain Trade Center (NGTC) on Monday.
This will be the 11th soybean import auction this year.
By the way, soybean imports to China in April reached a record high for the month. According to the estimates of the General Administration of Customs of the country (GACC), soybean imports to China in April amounted to 8.57 mln tonnes, which is the highest figure in the history of observations for the reporting month.
