Buyers in Thailand purchase about 60,000 T feed wheat from EU
An importer group in Thailand is believed to have purchased about 60,000 metric tons of animal feed wheat expected to be sourced from the European Union, traders said on Wednesday.
Germany, Romania or Bulgaria were seen as likely origins.
The wheat is for April 15 to May 15 shipment and was bought at an estimated price of around $248.50 a ton c&f liner out. Seller was said to be trading house ADM.
Traders said Germany has a large volume of feed wheat available after poor weather damaged its crop last year which means more Asian buyers have been inquiring about German feed wheat supplies, traders said.
Meanwhile Thailand was not seeking wheat shipped from Ukrainian ports.
