Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Bulgaria Kirill Vatiev and Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky agreed on the details of the application of the license regime for the export of sunseed, rapeseed, corn and wheat seeds during an online meeting.

This was reported by the press service of the Bulgarian Ministry.

“The Ministry of Agriculture and Food has kept its promise to limit the import of these agricultural products as much as possible until November 30, according to the Memorandum concluded between the government and the Initiative Committee of Protesting Farmers,” Vatiev said.

He emphasized that after this period, both countries will strictly monitor that there are no market distortions and that the interests of Bulgarian producers, processors and consumers are not undermined.

Imports and data exchange between the two countries continue and will be monitored.

As a reminder, in early October, it became known that Bulgaria had banned sunflower imports from Ukraine until the end of November 2023.
