Brazilian corn exports are declining

In October, Brazil exported 8.32 mln tonnes of corn, down 1 mln tonnes from September. However, the figure is significantly higher than in October 2022, which amounted to 6.2 mln tonnes, according to the materials of the Association of Grain Exporters Anec.

According to the association, the exports of soybeans from Brazil will increase to 5.96 mln tonnes from 5.53 mln tonnes in September of the same year and from 3.58 mln tonnes in October 2022. However, the shipment of soybean meal decreased to 1.69 mln tons from 1.92 mln tons in September. This year’s October figure is also lower than last year’s 1.78 mln tonnes.

From October 29 to November 4, 2.03 mln tonnes of corn were prepared for shipment in Brazilian ports, compared to 1.91 mln tonnes a week earlier. Soybean shipments for the week amounted to 1.49 mln tonnes, compared to 1.32 mln tonnes a week earlier, and soybean meal – 612.8 thsd tonnes, up 60% from the previous week (372.5 thsd tonnes).
