The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) predicts that global chicken exports will increase by 2.91% next year to at least 14 million tons.

Brazil is expected to dominate this market with a projected share of 36% of global exports, while the United States, the world’s second largest chicken producer, will account for 25%.

According to the US Department of Agriculture, chicken exports have increased by only 7% since 2019, with 4 out of 11 countries experiencing a decline in exports. The United Kingdom saw a 44% decline, Argentina a 40% decline, the European Union a 20% decline, and Belarus an approximate 14% decline. In contrast, Russia, China, Thailand, and Turkey saw export growth.

Despite the increase in volumes in these countries, Brazil is projected to increase its chicken meat exports by 1.086 million tons over the next five years, an increase of 27.5%. This increase will cause Brazil’s share of global chicken exports to increase by almost 20% compared to 2019.
