Bosnia’s Federation wheat harvest up 8% in 2021

Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), October 12 (SeeNews) – The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina harvested 93,173 tonnes of wheat in 2021, an annual increase of 8.0%, the entity’s statistical office said on Tuesday.

Oat harvest this year rose 24.5% to 11,969 tonnes, the Federation’s statistical office said in a statement.

An annual decrease of 0.3%, to 7,264 tonnes, was recorded in production of rye, while barley harvest fell by 9.3% to 29,617 tonnes compared to 2020.

The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
