Black Sea Grain Initiative deal extended for another 120 days
Ukraine has reached an agreement with Turkey and the UN to extend the grain deal for 120 days.
This was reported by Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, on Facebook.
“I am grateful to the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Turkish President Recep Erdogan, as well as all partner countries, for their joint efforts to extend the document (grain agreement – ed.) for another 4 months,” the minister said.
According to him, this extension means that Ukraine will continue to export agricultural products through three seaports.
Kubrakov noted that since August 1, 25 million tons of agricultural products have been shipped to the world.
“At the same time, the main challenge is to speed up inspections in Turkey. This will allow the world to receive even more Ukrainian agricultural products. We are also continuing to work on joining the grain initiative of the ports of Mykolaiv region and expanding the range of cargoes,” the official added.
