Agricultural imports to Ukraine grow by 7.5 percent
During the first half of 2019, agricultural products were imported to Ukraine to the tune of $2.8 billion, up 7.5% compared with the same period last year.
“According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the agricultural products were imported to Ukraine to the tune of $2.8 billion in January-June 2019, up 7.5% ($0.2 billion) compared with the corresponding period last year,” Deputy Director of the National Scientific Center "Institute of Agrarian Economics" Mykola Puhachov announced, the IAE’s press service reports.
Top 10 agricultural suppliers in the Ukrainian market are: Poland (to the tune of $297 million), Germany ($237 million), Turkey ($172 million), the United States ($153 million) France) ($147 million), Italy ($144 million), the Netherlands ($113 million), Norway ($92 million), and Spain ($85 million).
