A delegation of African leaders is to visit Ukraine and Russia this weekend, Reuters reports. During the visits, they will discuss, among other things, “grain imports to address food security.”

President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa believes that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the leader of the aggressor country agree with him on the importance of this issue. “Therefore, we are not aware of any threats to withdraw from the grain deal,” Ramaphosa’s spokesman Vincent Magwenya said.

On Tuesday, Putin said that Russia is considering withdrawing from the Black Sea Grain Initiative. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that Moscow had not yet made a decision to withdraw.

Earlier, Russia published a list of its demands, including the resumption of Black Sea ammonia exports and the connection of Rosselkhozbank to the SWIFT payment system.

On May 17, the parties agreed to extend the grain deal for two months.
