A vessel with Ukrainian wheat for Yemenis is already near the Bosphorus

According to ais data, the Negmar Cicek vessel carrying 30 thousand tons of wheat for the people of the Republic of Yemen is at the entrance to the Bosphorus. The vessel, part of the Grain From Ukraine humanitarian program, left the port of Chornomorsk at the end of last week. Negmar Cicek joined the caravan of three other vessels and started moving along the grain corridor.

The Negmar Cicek is the sixth ship to deliver Ukrainian grain to African countries on the verge of a food crisis.

This humanitarian mission will help feed millions of Yemenis. Investors in the purchase of wheat from Ukrainian farmers are the United States, France and Spain.

For reference. Grain from Ukraine is a humanitarian mission initiated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The program will send about 60 ships with grain to the poorest countries in Africa. The goal is for the countries participating in the project to directly purchase agricultural products from Ukrainian producers and transfer them to countries on the verge of famine. Five ships have already been sent under this program.

Last week, the Negmar Cicek was launched with the participation of Oleksandr Kubrakov, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Mykola Solskyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, and Bridget Brink, US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine Ricardo Lopez-Arnd Haga, Deputy Head of Mission of the French Republic in Ukraine Benjamin Rohrig, Deputy Director of the UN World Food Program in Ukraine Marianne Ward.
