A shortage of feed wheat in the Black Sea region

Market participants in Ukraine, Russia, Romania, and Bulgaria report a shortage of feed wheat in their domestic markets that has already affected the parity prices, UkrAgroConsult reports.

The gap between feed and 12.5% milling wheat prices narrowed considerably. The main reason was a long-lasting drought that hit key grain-growing areas in the Black Sea region.

Forward prices of other feed grains in Ukraine have also been on the rise during July. In early August wheat and barley sales increase have led to price decline.

High export demand together with corn harvesting campaign approaching pushed farmers to increase their grain offers.
