27 million tons of Ukrainian products were exported via the Black Sea grain corridor

Since the launch of the Black Sea corridor in August, 27 million tons of cargo have been exported through the ports of Odesa, Pivdenne, and Chornomorsk.

This was announced on February 28 by Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, at a meeting with representatives of the Danish Parliament’s Committee on European Affairs.

He also added that the main goal for Ukraine’s port industry is to reach the transshipment figures of 2021, which preceded the Russian invasion.

“Despite the systematic air attacks, the Ukrainian Corridor, a temporary corridor through the Black Sea, is working and increasing its efficiency. Since its launch in August, almost 27 million tons of cargo have been shipped, 70% of which is Ukrainian agricultural products. Now the main goal is to reach stable indicators of the level of 2021,” the official said.

“The results of recent months already confirm that this is an achievable goal. In January, in particular, thanks to the work of the Ukrainian corridor, tax revenues increased by almost a quarter compared to the planned. This is the first time since the full-scale invasion,” he said.

As a reminder, as of the end of last week, exports via the Black Sea corridor amounted to 26 million tons.
