2023/24 Argentina Soybeans 86% Planted
Rainfall in Argentina over the weekend favored Santa Fe, Cordoba, and southern and eastern Buenos Aires. Rainfall this week will primarily favor northern Argentina.
The soybeans in Argentina were 85.8% planted as of late last week which represents an advance of 7.2% for the week. In the core regions, the soybeans are 95-98% planted with 70-80% planted in southern Argentina and 45-50% planted in far northern Argentina. The full season soybean planting is complete in many regions and 73% of the double crop soybeans have been planted. Approximately 17% of the soybeans have started blooming.
The soybeans are rated 2% poor/very poor, 56% fair, and 42% good/excellent. The good/excellent percentage is up 2% from the prior week. The soil moisture for the soybeans is rated 9% short/very short, 90% favorable/optimum, and 1% saturated. The favorable/optimum percentage is down 1% from the prior week.
