Prices close mixed. Monday, August 29, 2022

At the end of the trading day, prices closed in line with the trend from earlier in the day.

September corn closed up 14¢ while September soybeans closed down 67¢.

CBOT wheat closed up 35¢. KC wheat is up 29¢. Minneapolis wheat is up 23¢.

Live cattle and feeder cattle both closed down while lean hogs closed up $1.60.

At midday, CBOT and KC wheat prices have lept to prices they haven’t seen since July.

CBOT wheat is up 27¢ to $8.12. KC wheat is up 22¢ to $9.05. Minneapolis wheat is up 19¢ to $9.13.

Corn continues its climb and is up 11¢ to $6.80. Soybeans are now down 7¢ to $15.98.

Live cattle are down 25¢. Feeder cattle are down $2.23. Lean hogs are up 40¢.

September corn and soybeans have both rebounded to prices they haven’t seen since June.

At this hour, corn is up 5¢ to $6.74 and soybeans are down 10¢ to $15.95.

CBOT wheat is up 2¢. KC wheat is up less than a penny. Minneapolis wheat is up a penny.

Live cattle and feeder cattle are both down this morning while lean hogs are up 23¢.

Outside of the U.S., milling wheat on the MATIF trade is unchanged while corn and soybeans on the Dalian trade are up.

This morning crude oil is trading up $2.04. The U.S. dollar is down 12¢.

The S&P 500 is down 21 points and the Dow is down 229 points.

The USDA Crop Progress Report comes out this afternoon.
